Disney Advice
We were thinking of going to Disney for only one day. It would be such a tease since I love disney. If we do go DD would be a few days shy of 3 years old. Here is my dilemma. For just 1 day, where do we go? Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom? Which would DD like best at 3? We have never been to Animal Kingdom so it would be a new experience for all 3 of us. DH doesn't like rides so I am not sure if that would be a factor in deciding which park to go to.

Either Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios.
Hollywood Studios has the Disney Junior and Frozen stuff. We had lunch at Hollywood and Vine with the Disney Junior characters and that was the highlight of the trip for DD.

Re: Disney Advice
Hands down I would do the Magic Kingdom! I've never been to AK but I feel like you can go to a zoo at home and get a similar experience. Of course I'm sure it's way better at Disney but that's just my thinking. I would do AK another visit when you have time for more parks.
There's a fair amount to see in MK without doing rides, although I imagine your DD would probably want to do some. Would he stick them out for her, or at least stand in line with you then wait on the side until the ride is over?

I didn't see that your DH doesn't like rides - even more reason to do HS. There are a lot of shows there and not so many rides.

Re: Disney Advice
I personally would do MK in the am and then end with AK for the afternoon.
We were planning to do one day of Disney for spring break but decided to axe it altogether due to crowds.

I agree with PP, if your DD knows them Hollywood Studios with all the Disney Jr characters is probably the best option. If your DD doesn't know the characters (Jake, Doc, Handy Manny, Sofia), then definitely Magic Kingdom. As much as I like Animal Kingdom, there is too much construction going on right now to waste a day.

Re: Disney Advice
What do you mean by DH doesn't like rides? He won't go on anything? Or does he not like roller coaster type stuff?
Personally I'd do Magic Kingdom because I feel like it's classic Disney.
But Hollywood Studios also has a Little Mermaid show that your DD might like. Depends a little bit on how well your DD will sit through shows. If you do decide Hollywood Studios book the Disney Jr character lunch asap. I tried to book 4 months out for a May trip and couldn't get the day I needed.
