dishwasher not very clean??

WE just bought an expensive dishwasher less than 2 years ago...lately, the silverware has a film on it, and I just feel like things are not clean...

I looked up using bleach, and it says not to do this is we have stainless steel on the inside...any other suggestions?

Maybe change detergent? Or add Jet Dry? We use Cascade complete and have had good results.

There's also a dishwasher/washing machine/gargage disposal cleaner that they sell. I can't remember what it's called, but it's in a small box (like a baking soda box) and it'll remove any residue or smells.

I know......I wanted to add bleach to mine so bad but I didnt want to take the chance of ruining it either.

You might need to add Jet Dry or whatever its called. Its a little bottle with blue/green fluid. It goes in a different spot than the detergent. It really makes them sparklier (if thats a word)? I noticed once it ran low; my glasses and silverware looked the same way. Then I filled it back up; and Voila.

But if you feel overall that your dishwasher isnt clean; you can do a few drops of vinegar or baking soda in the detergent area and let it go for one cycle and see if that works.

I would try a different detergent. Also, there's something called Finish dishwasher cleaner which I use every so often.

Here's a site with two coupons if you buy it at Target. I actually just got it today but I've used it a few times and it seems to help.
