Last night, I started the dishwasher at 7pm, then proceeded to do other things around the house. I heard it running for a while, and actually thought it sounded like it was running weird: running for a minute, then shutting off, then running fora minute, then shutting off, etc.. Then, like 3 hours later, I heard it start running again Chat Icon The wash/rinse cycle is usually like an hour long, followed by the drying cycle, so you usually only hear it for an hour and that's it. This was 3 hours later, after I hadn't heard it for a while!!!!!

What the heck could have happened. It was just DH & I in the house, and he sure as heck didn't touch it (he's terrified of the dishwasher I think, since he never uses it Chat Icon ) He had to hit the cancel button to drain it and shut it off. I was freaked that it would catch fire or short out.

Anyone ever experience this? It's probably only about 5 years old, we've owned the house for 2 of those years, and of course, we don't have the owner's manual from the previous owners Chat Icon
