Dining Set
Is spending $6000 on a dining set crazy? This would include 8 side chairs, 2 end chairs, and the buffet & cupboard.
I LOVE the set, this will be my forever set. I have a bedroom set from the same manufacterer so I know the quality is fantastic.
I will be saving about $1300 by ordering it from SC. We will be using it a lot since we do not have a table in our kitchen.

Re: Dining Set
Not for your forever set. That's actually quite reasonable.

Dining Set
I think that's a good price for everything you will get with the set!

I couldn't imagine spending that much on a set. I'm pretty frugal when it comes to that kind of stuff though.

It's made by Kincaid and I talked them down to $5400
I am getting it in NC, The Place on 110 wouldn't go less than $6900!!!!

Me too, considering the fact that my kids ruin everything and my stupid cat likes to jump on my thomasville table and scratch it!!! now, my lovely table is ruined and i am forced to keep a table cloth on it!
i would spend that money after my kids are grown and / or my cat is dead.
I know that sounded terrible, but it frustrates me!

Re: Dining Set
I would stalk every store on 110 first because I am pretty confident I could find it, or something very similar, for a lot less.
This is how we found our bedroom set.
The one we ended up getting was about $2K more in the 2 other places we saw it.
Also could you wait a little bit?
Do they generally go down a lot for sales around Columbus day and the holidays?
