Did you stay overnight one night or two for DW?
DH and I are taking our DD (will be 19 mos) in August to DW. We booked one night at Eden, but now I'm wondering if we should've booked two. I'd like to leave LI late morning, closer to DD's noon-ish nap time, so she'll sleep for a lot of the ride. So we figure we won't get there until later afternoon. We can do the park the following day and then head home. Or do you think it's better to do the park and have a hotel to go back to?

I personally think there is a lot to do in the Lancaster area so I would def book at least 2 nights.
If you are only interested in DW though then I think that you could get to the park early the next morning, spend 4-5 hours there, and then head back home. You don't need all day for DW.

Hey when in August are you going? We will be at Eden aug. 7th and 8th. We did 2 nights because we figured the 1st day we would just hang at the hotel and let dd play in the pool. Then we will wake up and go to DW. We will get back to the hotel. Go to sleep and when we wake up we are driving to sesame place and spending the day there. Then we will drive home that night

We were going to do 2 but extended to 3. We stayed poolside and just relaxed one day.

So funny! We'll be there on the 8th! I'm going to see if I can get an extra day.
ETA: Ugh, they're all booked up and DH doesn't can't really take off another day. Oh well! We'll stick to our original plan and plan for an extended stay next year.
But hopefully we'll see each other on the 8th!

We booked 2 nights previously. I was totally underwhelmed with the restaurants and sights besides DW. DW is AWESOME.
This year we plan to do 1 night 2 days. I was going to do 2 nights and do Day Out With Thomas but we've been told Day Out with Thomas is not that great and DS is over his Thomas phase.
