That's why I love my doctor he said the very same about sushi
I gave up drinking and doc says 1st tri is a no-no. I see no real hassle following that rule

neurotic mom-to-be here...
I still won't do it. no alcohol, no caffeine, no artificial stuff in foods/drinks...... I also intend to avoid all medications (as long as I can hold out!)
even my biggest love, unpasteurized cheese, will remain on the cheese shelf until october.
taking signs from food aversions, I know my crumb doesn't want that stuff, becuase I find they smell repulsive right now
