I had no choice but to give DD the seasonal flu shot since she is in daycare and where I live it's state mandated children over 6 months must have the flu shot.

She had no reaction to it.

However, I opted not to give her the H1N1.

Regular only - no issues.

Could have gotten H1N1 when she got the regular booster but they didn't ask that time if we wanted it, so we just skipped it!

Yes and yes. They got the seasonal flu shot at 8 months and the H1N1 at 10/11 months. No problems at all.

I'm having so much anxiety over this. I hate these decisions where I'm so torn... I answered on the other thread.

DS got a fly shot when he was 9 months old. And again this year about about 22 months old. He also got hte H1N1 this year at his 2 year appt.

DS is not in daycare it was our choice to do the flu shot. Last year I was so happy I did it because about 2 months later DH got the flu and luckily DS was fine!

This year I decided even though I am a SAHM that because DS is in playgroups, music class etc that it was a good idea as he is exposed to germs all the time. The H1N1 I had a hard time deciding on but DS is considered High Risk so once my ped had some I got it

ETA: forgot---Last year he got a cold right after gettign the shot but in fairness he was coming down with something when we went to the appt for the shot.
This year no reaction to any of the shots!

Seasonal Flu- NO since they didn't have the preservative free one

H1N1- YES since they had the preservative free one! He only got one dose since I had the Swine flu and my DS most likely did as well.

Yes, to both and absolutely no reaction. We only do the preservative free shots.

h1n1 i was on the fence until daycare had a flu / h1n1 outbreak

Yes, we ended up giving DD both.

DD got both at her 6 month appt since my ped recommended them and I only noticed the regular side effects she always has after vaccinations...ie, crankiness and tiredness for a day or two. After that, she was fine.

Yes they all got both shots at their 6 month check-up and didnt have any issues

I did not give either one of DC the flu shot and/or the H1N1 shot.

My Dr. ran out of the seasonal flu shot again!
I was not going to give him the swine flu shot.

She had both but no problems, just a little cranky the first day.
