Did we sleep train wrong??
When we were training her, we got her into the drowsy but awake stage by rocking her, and she cries a little every night still(3 weeks later)...she does not go down fully awake...should we start over and leave her in there awake..what are your thoughts or the methods you used..please be detailed if you can..with the time you let them cry..progression..and when did you get success...thanks!

Re: Did we sleep train wrong??
DS is not fully awake when I put him down, but I do wake him as he falls asleep while BF. He usually doesn't cry much, a few seconds really and then he's out. Not sure if that helps. For us putting him down is the easy part, its the rest of the night that gets hard.

Re: Did we sleep train wrong??
how old is dd?
Honestly you'd have to post her schedule for me to answer this. Sometimes if they fight bedtime, it 'can' have something to do with naps needing to be adjusted or her being overtired.

I don't have any advice but notice that your DD is getting 13 hours of sleep at night and is getting up at 8-8:30, is she waking at all? That is great!!! Maybe she could sleep train my DD who wakes up at 6

Ha! I wish it was that great..unfortunately she was up 4X lastnight because she hasn't learned to flip back from her tummy to her back..but usually she gets up 1 or 2 times a night we have yet to have a full 12 hours..I'm thinking maybe because we sleep trained wrong or habit that she looks for that 430am boob...we have yet to have her sleep straight to 6..so actually your baby is doing great compared to our sleepy g who is still addicted to mommys boob

Ummm is she fighting just bedtime or naps too?
I definitely think that her first nap should be sooner. Granted every child is different, but my ds is 14 months and he can only go 3 hours in between naps and then 4 hours from his last nap until bedtime.
I feel like she's not getting enough sleep during the day and especially since she's waking up multiple times a night.
I would try putting her down for the 1st nap at 10:15-10:30am at the latest (if she wakes at 8).

If she's waking up at 4:30am every morning... chances are she's waking out of habit.

I agree..DD is 1 and she needs to go down almost after every 2 hours...
