did u know this about coach?
most of the stuff in the coach outlet was never in the stores. most of it was made for the outlet. i overheard a salesgirl telling this to someone and then pointed to two tables and said those two are the only two w/merchandise that came from the store. it doesn't matter to me, i just never knew that and found it interesting.

I was going to say the same thing
my friend works for Jcrew- and they have a separate grup that develops for the outlet store- I would say 99% of the stores do
with few exceptions- my company- doesn't right now- but we are starting this year- even though we are a housewares company - we currently use the outlet to get rid of stuff- but we see the potential in creating product use for the outlet- it wont be lower quality just HIGHer marker for us-

yes, I think much of what they sell is based on consumer surveys/popular style bags that they redesign.
I know they do this with the gymboree outlet- certain lines from the retail store that were redesigned for the outlet stores.

A lot of the Coach outlet items are similiar to retail store items from the previous year. I've honestly found that the quality of the outlet items is not as good.
This is also true of the Ann Taylor outlet. The Riverhead one used to have more stuff from the stores, but now it's all outlet only merchandise.

I guess that is why it says on the recit that you cant return or exchange in the outlets.
I have never liked any selection they have at the outlets anyway.

I did not know that, but I knew you can only return them in the outlets.
I have gotten a few bags and wallets over the years. Most recently my mother got me my Diaper bag there. I love it!
