Did I miss his nap window - WWYD?

Normally he naps everyday from at 11 for an hour.

I had an appt. at Ethan Allen this morning - we were driving home at 11 - he fell asleep for about 10 mins in the car.

I transferred him to the crib - he is wide awake and bouncing around.

Do I take him out and attempt a nap after lunch? I cannot have this kid up from 6am-6:30pm -- he will be a nightmare without a nap? Should I keep him in the crib a little longer? He's not crying - just not sleeping?

UGH - I hate this

I hate that too.

I'd keep him in there a bit longer, see if he fell asleep. If he's not sleeping, I'd try to see if he's sleepy after lunch again. Or maybe he'll just go to bed earlier.

ETA: I've tried everytihng to keep her awake in the car during this type of thing. Singing, loud radio, talking on the phone...it's sad & desperate! Chat Icon

I think DH is coming home for lunch - if he's still awake he'll MAKE me take him out anyway lol - so I'll wait a few more mins I guess! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think that if he's not sleeping he may go down easier after lunch for a bit. I just would limit the nap time so that he still goes to bed at his regular time.
