Did I do this wrong?
After my BFP, I was freaking out. Called my doc and asked for an appt. It was difficult as I got hung up on 3 times. I didn't tell them what the apt was for and they didn't ask.
The next available apt is Sept 3rd which works well for my schedule. My last AF was July 3 - 7 and I think I O'd on July 19/20.
Should I call them back and tell them what the appt is for? I am overdue by a few months anyway.....
But, I don't want to have problems when I get there and I don't want to have to reschedule and need to waste a vacation day.
Did your doc have a policy about not seeing you before a specific time?
When I made the appt, I asked them to call in a refill for prenatals, so I would think they would inform me then, no?

I would definitely call and let them know that is not just a regular visit. Most dr's won't see you until 8 weeks because before that they often can't hear the heartbeat on the doppler.
It's def. a good idea to give them the heads up about why you're coming, they may have to schedule things differently.

I agree. and my doctor is the same about 8 weeks. (although with #1, I came in earlier b/c I was so sick)

If your LMP was July 3rd then on Sept 3rd You will be about 8 weeks. I wouldn't worry about it

I agree, let them now you are pregnant, this way they will schedule you for a prenatal visit instead of just a regular exam
