Did anyone kinda wish their home buying process was slow?

I'm in contract & can't wait to move, but the idea of it is so overwhelming that I don't mind if it's not done ASAP.

I still can't decide on colors or furniture styles or anything else, for that matter

Right now, we are at the appraisal part, which is fine, but if I don't move in until September (and not in July as planned if all goes well,) I believe I will be perfectly happy, only because I need more time to sort stuff out in my head.

I may be eating my words later, but just wanted to know if anyone else felt this way.

I cannot wait to have a firmer deadline. I need short time frames to get my arse in gear. Our sellers told us yesterday when we were at the house that they would be comfortable moving up the close date, which we want to do. The thought of packing up my apt with a baby is incredibly daunting, but I just gotta do it and I want to know when everything is happening.

I just cleaned out all my closets and I am giving away a ton of clothes-- so that's one thing done. I can still probably shed more.

Other than that-- I don't know where to start.

On the flip side-- I just want to know what I am doing in the house (work wise), so I can pick everything and get started.

We are also anxious to be in the house because the outside is so beautiful, we want to enjoy it as much as we can before the weather gets cold.

I couldn't agree with you more! I either want more time to decide on things (paint colors, color of hardwood floors, etc.) or I want to fast foward completely and wake up and it's fall and I'm all settled in.
