This question isn't for me...its actually for my SIL.

She has a wonderful mom (my MIL) who I'll admit, can be quirky at times but is a sincere, caring and loving person. My SIL has for some reason been nasty and ungrateful to her for years...no one knows why. She gets "annoyed" when her mom says things she deems as "stupid" and says that she WANTS to try and make it a little better, but doesn't know how to. She said its been bad for so long that it's not worth trying.

Anyone ever been in a similar situation or seen someone change?? I hate that my SIL continues to treat her mom like garbage...it breaks MIL's heart, and she does so so much for her daughter.

The clincher is that SIL is expecting her first child...a girl...in 3 weeks. My DH told her point blank that karma is gonna kick her in the azz..
