Did any moms give their DC toddler formula?
we might try giving DC Enfamil Next Step once he runs out of his Enfamil Premium.

Unless DC is underweight, it really is not necessary

Re: Did any moms give their DC toddler formula?
DS is almost 13 months and still gets about 10-12 oz of step 2 formula. He's not underweight but only in the 10th percentile and he can be a really picky/bad eater.

Re: Did any moms give their DC toddler formula?
I have DD the Next Step Prosobee formula for a couple of months only because I was trying to decide whether she'd go to straight soy milk or another dairy-alternative.
My second went straight to cow's milk.

DS fluctuates between 10-15% weight and 50-75% height.
Pediatrician says he is fine on his growth curve because he was born 10th percentile weight.
DH and I want to give him as much nutrients as we can. I was thinking of just giving DS a 2-3 bottles of toddler formua. I thought it couldn't hurt?

Re: Did any moms give their DC toddler formula?
DS has fallen in the 20% percentile since birth, and we did switch to cow's milk at a year (whole milk).
I guess you could get the toddler formula, and it wouldn't hurt, but if DC can drink whole milk, takes vitamins, and eats a reasonable amount of table food, cereal, etc., there probably will be enough nutrients. If you ped. told you to try the formula though, go ahead.

Re: Did any moms give their DC toddler formula?
I actually use it on a few occasions. I keep a can on my shelf for emergencies, when I run out of milk and am too lazy to go to the store and when we are going to be out all day, or traveling and don't have refridge available.
I do give my DS 1 or 2 servings a week also to ensure adequate DHA intake and vit/min intake..for those finicky days.

I always have a can of it around for emergencies and for when DD is really congested.

Re: Did any moms give their DC toddler formula?
I used to only give it to DD when she wasn't feeling well enough to eat. I haven't given it to her though since she was 13 0r 14 months though.
