diaper with bathing suit or not?
This may be a stupid question. DD is 5 months old. Do I have to put a diaper on with her bathing suit or not? Do I have to have one of those specific swim diapers on her?
Help. just wondering because I want her to go in the pool but wasn't sure If she should wear a diaper with her bathing suit.

I would put a swim diaper under her suit

Yes, swim diaper. A normal diaper will soak up all the pool water, hang down to her feet and weigh a ton.

I would do the swim diaper or none at all.
The regular diaper totally fills with water, and they are super gross when they explode.

do they make swim diapers for 5 month olds? I guess I always thought they were for bigger kids.

I am using the Huggies S/M size swim diapers with my 6 month old and it fits. I just fold down the top!

smallest size is 3/4 which were huge on DS at that point. I used a swim diaper from BBB.

Last summer, my son was the same age. We just bought the smallest size swim diaper, which of course were huge on him, but they contain poop if he should happen to have one. We didn't want to deal with poop in the bathing suit, and possibly getting into the pool!
