DH's "sample" on retrieval day...
Especially if you go to LI-IVF, can the sample be brought in like with an IUI, or does it HAVE to be done there?
I am having stage fright for DH, and although he says he will do what he has to do- I am terrified he won't be able to produce a sample. I think it will be easier to just bring it from home.

I go there as well, and DH gave his sample the day of retrieval.
I guess they want it "super fresh" and not losing any time being in transit.
Good luck!

Re: DH's "sample" on retrieval day...
My DH has never done a sample at any of my RE's offices... he always does it home and brings it in. LI-IVF was no exception. He has to bring it in himself w/ his license proving that he's him! HTH!

My RE recommended, or actually required a sample from my DH PRIOR to my retrieval to freeze just in case the pressure was too much to produce on retrieval day. This way, they already had a sample in storage.

Same here. And we also brought a fresh sample from home..it's about a 30 min drive and the minute we got there we handed it over.

If we lived closer to Mineola, he could probably do the sample at home, but we live an hour away, with no traffic. I'd like not to take the chance. He'll deal with it.
I'm a heartless creature with no sympathy.
