DH made me feel so bad last night...
His nephew's birthday was on the 11th and last night I just remembered that we forgot to call him for his birthday. So when I said that DH turns around and says that since I was home all day I should have remembered it. Oh and because he's the one that's got a job and comes home tired it's ok to forget. Meanwhile this is his family not mine. I got so mad and upset because he was just going on and on how I should have remembered...yada yada yada. He made me feel so bad that I started to cry. He never apologized but an hour later he was like "you know what F*** them they never called my son for his 1st Easter". No apology to me he just made that statement later on.
Where is the punching bag icon???

Aww...dont feel bad! I've made it clear to my DH that I will not be responsible for everything in our house, so the neices on nephews in his family are his responsibility. He needs to buy the cards and send them out. This is usually how it goes...I give him a reminder.."so and so's birthday is coming up."....he goes out and buys a card on his lunch hour....the card sits in our kitchen for three weeks and he mails it with a check about two weeks after their birthday. Oh well. Men are just annoying and pathetic some days!

im new here, so first of all, ur boy is SO CUTE! hed be perfect for my DD (see pic). lol. anyway, yeah, DHs can be that way sometimes, and trust me, im pretty sure they are all like that with their little comments...we mommies (us mommies?) cant remember EVERYthing, so dont feel badly. the comment was unnecess, but remember, most of the time, they dont know better...!! they really think we ARE Gods, and they have the utmost respect for what we mommies do and handle with the children, and so when they make the comments, sometimes they dont realize that, yeah we do forget stuff, we do get tired....keep your head up, no biggie....

Yes your DD is beautiful. Let's hook them up and arrange their marriage...
I think that he realized he was wrong because otherwise he wouldn't have said "you know what F*** that they never called my son for his 1st Easter" Guess it was his way of apologizing. But still it ****** me off. I'd like to see him take care of DS for the day and then see if he can remember what day of the week it is let alone someone's birthday.

for you DH being mad at you but I'm sorry you're family sounds way too high maintenance for me. A phone call for 1st Easter? No way in hell I could remember all that. People are lucky they get birthday cards. If my outlook crashes, which it has they are SOL!
