DH did it again

That jerk went out for happy hour last night and didn't come home until 2:30am!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon He said he'd be home by 10, and this is the sh!t he pulls. I'm so sick of it. Many of you know that this is not the first time he's done this.

Well let's see... he came hoem pretty much too drunk to communicate and he's still passed out. So, so far he has nothing to say for himself.
What pisses me off the most is that his b-day is Monday and we have dinner reservations for tonight. I feel like I'm forced to cut him some slack because of his b-day, but at the same time, I feel like i can't even look at him. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

was this a work thing? sometimes I fully intend to leave early, but get tied up because of work and networking. My DH gets mad all the time too!
Could that be it?

Re: DH did it again

Chat Icon that would kill me...mainly of jealousy that I can't go out as well.

In his defense, he probably wanted to leave at 10, but we all know how that goes.

Sorry that happened to you. I hope its not a grouchy hangover and you can move on with your day.

Payback is a b!tch, tonight tell him you are too tired to drive, so he has to stay sober.

I can totally understand! I wouldn't be able to look at him either.
You are kind, I wouldn't give him any slack birthday or not. He told you one thing and did another. That's unacceptable to me. Dh wouldn't think of doing something like that, he knows he would rather sleep next to me than in his car!

Does he tell you 10pm so you will okay it and then has really has no intentions on coming home on time?

I am soo sorry you have to go through this againChat Icon

Sometimes men really need to grow up and take respsonsiblity for their actions. What if that was your child in a couple years and he/she told him they would be home at 4 and didn't show up til 8pm. What would he do then? I would give that question. And follow it up by, you will be a dad soon and need to start setting an example of 1-how to treat someone and 2- and what it means to have someone believe your word when you say something and 3-kids model their parents.

I think when he teels me he'll be home at 10 he means it, but DH has a problem remembering responsibilities once he's had a couple of drinks. He's the type of person that feels like if he leaves someplace early then he'll be missing something.
He didn't invite me out with him and then he calls me at 10 to see if I'm bored and want to come meet him. Um, I'm 7 months preggo. I do not want to get off the couch at 10 at night and watch you drink. He's done that before too. It's his way of trying to buy himself extra time... "well I asked you if you wanted to come." It annoys the ever loving sh!t out of me when he does stuff like this. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon He needs to grow the f*** up!

It was actually just a happy hour thing with friends from his OLD job. So he most certainly didn't need to stay there, he just wanted to.
