DH and I wanted to go look at this house but...

It looks like they tried to combine two rooms, I think the video is making it look weirder than it really is.
Its new & very pretty. I would def go see it in person!

It does look like two rooms. And it does look beautiful. I love the floors. I think we will go anyway

Looks like it was a really tiny kitchen and they expanded into the DR. The island and the table look odd together. Kind of overdone, it seems like you could do without one or the other, at least thats how it looks in the picture. Maybe you could get rid of the table and have an atra play area right there for Andrew.
ETA: my SIL lives a few blocks from there, that area is so nice.

I don't think it looks weird at all. just like an open kitchen with a big island in the middle. The house is nice though but Malverne schoos are not the greatest= IMO

It was an expanded kitchen but since there are def floors overhead they prob could not take out a wall cause it was a structual and if you took out that wall they wold prob have to run a beam the span of the rooms and A good beam is a steel beam and I know those are expense to do do this prob was their alternative. But the island with the sink is a lil weird. I would go see it in person and see if it works for you.

its in Valley Steam schools...do you live in Malverne or did you go to school there?

Cute house!
We looked at a few colonials...I thought they were so quant...unfortunately they have such small rooms we'd have to sell all of our furniture and start over. 
Definitely check it out!

I bet it is much better in person, the way the video rotates is odd, but when you think about the sink in the first and last frames and try to align the kitchen in you head it makes a little more sense. The video really throws it all off.

It's the way the video is done. It looks like they made a room bigger and put the ktchen part in one side and an island in the middle and the table on the other side. but it looks nice. Go and visit anyway.

i say check it out in person.
it does seem like they've tried to expand the kitchen and ended up having to put the fridge in the dining room. i also think that the island has way too many chairs. that's what made me think the picture was weird.
other than that, it seems like a beautiful home.
that second was is sooo cute!!!
wow!!! real estate IS location, location, location. that same house in my neighborhood would go for about $250,000 to $300,000... or there abouts.
