DH & Decorating
How involved is/was your DH in decorating the nursery?
I didn't think my DH cared what went on in there until all of sudden yesterday he demanded CARS or DINOSAURS (if we're having a boy).

Because its a girl, DH is leaving it up to me... We picked out the theme together, but the rest is up to me

He couldn't have cared less. I picked out the paint and he painted. I choose the furniture and theme. He just helped get the room ready.

My DH is not allowed to decorate anything in our house. I let him choose a few bad paint colors that he has never lived down. He likes most of what I like and I just ignore his input if I don't agree  I have no clue what he will think of the nursey, but I have pretty simple tastes- nothing crazy so I'm sure he will approve.
Right now he won't even discuss names with me so I'm sure decor is WAY far off.
ETA: everytime we go to a baby store just to buy a gift, he checks ot the furniture so I'm sure he will have some input on that.

DH is like an overbearing mother. He wanted to decorate early and has had a hand in everything. I am very grateful but there are times it is too much - like when we HAD to have the chandelier from PB kids because she is his "princess" - already

I am trying to decide if it would bother me more that he wants to help decide every detail or if he did not care in the least....but my preference would be for him to just agree with what I pick out!

He is soooooooooo involved. Not really shocked at all. I think he has very good taste. He was very involved in all the colors for each room in our house. Veryyyyyy involved in our wedding.
He picked the theme for our  room and killed the idea i had of having yellow in her room. i didnt mind. the two colors he picked imo are wayyyyyyyy better than yellow. funiture was very important to him !!! he did tons of research for it. i didnt have to a think.lol
