determining due date from an IUI

I did pay enough attention in health class to know that gestation is 40 weeks. I know it is counted from the first day of you last period. BUT, I thought I saw a post on here recently about the due date not following that science when it conception is from an IUI. I thought someone had a calendar wheel or something the used. Is that true? I was going by that, but my RE has me at a week behind that calculation. And it got me thinking that I had a IUI will DD and she was a week late. Trying to figure out when my exact due date is.

That was me. I thought I was measuring small based on what I calculated for my iui. I still dont understand it but the doc said its harder to know exactly with iuis versus ivf since they dont know when u conceive and implant. I freaked out for two weeks, but my last two sonos, the baby is growing accordingly. My due date is now a few days after when I thought it should be.

I would just wait till after a couple of sonos when the doc takes measurements to get an accurate date otherwise you might freak yourself out, like me.

Eta I triggered on a monday and thought I conceived on thursday but, now with the new due date, it had me conceiving sunday. I used the justmommies calendar.

I don't have my wheel on me, it's how we measure EDC at Columbia. But it *is* possible to implant later than expected. And u/s is always +/- 4 days.

Thanks ladies. Based upon what my dr is saying and what I have seen on sonos, I am pretty confident I implanted late. I think that probably explains why my pg tests were so light also. I was catching it at maybe 8dpo as opposed to the 12dpo I thought I was. My dr explained the same to me about IUI and not being 100% sure of implantation. Based on what I played with online about EDD, I think I am a few days later.

Your IUI was done on the day you ovulated, most likely but could have been done day before. The Baby Med due date calculator has a drop down menu and ovulation day is one of the options. Try that and see what due date you get. BabyMed Due Date Calculator
