determining day 1- need help

i'm going to be starting clomid this month. was told to take it day 5-9, first day being red blood. i started spotting on wednesday night. and- sorry to be graphic- today, havign lots of brown and red discharge, enough to wear a pantiliner, but not really heavy like a flow, you know? so do i count today as day 1?

If you usually have heavier AF than today, then I would not consider today day one.

ITA.

I usually count CD 1 as the first day I need to wear a tampon.

Re: determining day 1- need help

did you take provera to get AF?
If so, it may not be a normal period and I would count today as CD1.
Wait a day or so and see what happens.
CD1 should be the first day of full red flow, but sometime with Provera there's not much lining so there's not much bleeding.

nope. getting period all on my own. i normally spot before i get my period. but i recently weaned, and since weaning, the preperiod spotting has gotten worse

Then I would wait for a full AF...and count that as CD1
