Design Junkies, Need help here!
I have two rooms that I have good space in, and I can't decide what to do...
Here are pics, the first room, I HATE the shades over the sliding doors to the patio. I want to put light gauzy sheers over them. Are sheers weird over sliding doors? I hate verticals so I refuse to go that route. We are entertainment center shopping as well so don't mind all the stuff on the floor because thats obviously not how we're going to leave it. Don't mind the green pillow, it migrated from the other room...
Would you put down a throw rug? Coffee table? Feel free to also pick artwork for me, I have SUCH a hard time committing to anything on the walls. The people who lived here before us had a cast iron clock on the wall, I wish I knew where to get it!

Now here is the other room...I know they're both dens, but we opted for two dens over having a formal living room and a family room...so that begs the question, what to do here? The hutch is still sitting there from when we disconnected it from the ent center so thats obviously leaving too...
    Any opinions welcome!

You know I'm terrible at this, as evidenced from my own thread but I just wanted to say that you have the same couch as I do! Macy's, right?

I also hate verticals so I did a double rod above the slider from Pottery Barn. Sheers on the back rod and a 104" wide drape on the front (also from PB). I have the drape pulled back most of the time and use only the sheers for privacy.

I think you need some sort of tables so you have a place to put a drink. I'm thinking coffee table in the room with the white/cream couch and wait til you get the entertainment center for the other one cause it could be to crowded for a coffee table.

Re: Design Junkies, Need help here!
First room I would definitely get an area rug and coffee table.
For the fire place, can you maybe DIY a mantle? You can then decorate with little knick nacks and photos.
Maybe an iron wall decor on the mantle, or even sconces on either side of the TV.

Re: Design Junkies, Need help here!
I love them but I feel like the first one is the same kinda color as what I have now and the other is too dark...I think the brick makes the room so dark looking that I was trying to lighten it up a bit...

Re: Design Junkies, Need help here!
I have sheers and panels on my sliders in my kitchen - got them from The Curtain Store in Massapequa.
LOVE them. I didn't want verticals either.
Here are some clocks from overstock:
Link - $30
Totally random, but I think this one is pretty damn cool.
Link - $110.
Here is the link to all of them - they have like two or three other iron clocks...
