Des is the next bachelorette!
It’s official! Desiree will be the lucky lady filling Emily Maynard’s shoes on the newest season of ‘The Bachelorette’! Are you happy that Sean Lowe’s ex was chosen?
HollywoodLife.com previously reported that Desiree Hartsock‘s deal was as good as signed, and now we can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that she will be starring on the next season of The Bachelorette, starting May 20! Sean Lowe‘s Bachelor ex has won the race to hand out the roses, and ABC will make an official announcement on the Bachelor final on March 11. Read on for all the exclusive details!
Desiree Hartsock Is The Next ‘Bachelorette’
A source close to Sean EXCLUSIVELY revealed to HollywoodLife.com that “Desiree is confirmed to be the next Bachelorette.”
And Sean was rooting for her all along!
“Although it didn’t work out with us, she’ll always have a place in my heart because she is such a lovable person,” Sean said to PEOPLE on March 5. “I know Des has moved on, and I’m hoping she gets a second chance at love – maybe on the next season of The Bachelorette? She would definitely get my vote.”
Des, 26, was up against the other former contestants Lesley Murphy, AshLee Frazier and Sean’s runner up, but she is reigning victorious!
An ABC spokesperson EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com on Feb. 26 that “No one has been picked yet.” Filming of The Bachelorette‘s new season begins in mid-March, so ABC obviously were under pressure to pick someone.
And they made the perfect choice!
I hate when they recycle contestents, even though I did like Des.

She's a sweet girl but not really a fan of this decision.

They have been saying all along that she was the fan favorite so it makes sense they would choose her
