depressed...no job for sept!!!!
Last year, I had to give up my job since I was giving birth....and then I went back as a leave replacement in feb.....well, now Samantha has been in daycare for about 6 mos and LOVES it, she does great and gets the best of both worlds....but now, come Sept, it looks as if I will be pulling her out....my camp ended on Fri that I run for the summer...and yup, I have nothing lined up still...I just feel like at this point, it is such a part of her sched that she will miss it....I am excited to be home more with her, but also feel depressed...silly I know....but I can't help but feel useless....

Re: depressed...no job for sept!!!!
yes, I can and have when I was pregnant.....but no-one really goes sick the first month or so....so it doesn't make sense to keep paying the $$$...and of course, I won't put her in if I can't work anyway since I would love to spend the time with her....
I don't know in a way I guess I feel like a failure on two levels - one as a professional and two as people seeing me as a "bad mom" who doesn't want to be home with her child.....(and I do, but I also enjoy my job!!!)

aww, I know the feeling of LOVING the best of both worlds, getting out and going to work, and then being home with the little ones...
so DONT feel guilty or like youre a bad mom! you are a great role model to your daughter, a mommy that achieves her goals.
I hope something works out for you.

I feel your pain. I feel like when I'm ready to get back into teaching, no one will want me.
You could always be a teacher at a daycare...tutortime or a place like that.
Many teachers leave right before September, so you never know...

How is loving your job make you a bad mother? You are being a great role model for your child. She will learn that you CAN love a job AND your family at the same time. I would keep her in preschool and continue to look for a job. That way you have time to go on interviews and keep her routine. JMO

something will come up I agree, I would get on the subbing list. You would be surprised how much you will get called in early on.
