DD 1 was almost 3.5 and I wish I brought her sooner. DS was a day over two amd DD2 was 16 months (but she has upper lip tie so we were checking that) otherwise it would have been 2

A little before 3. I thought she would be afraid, but she loved it. She made everyone she spoke to look at her teeth for a good two months afterward!

I recommend watching the Bubble Guppies episode on brushing your teeth - that got her excited for the dentist, lol.

Ok this is scary considering I was logging on to LIF to post this VERY SAME question! I called the Ped today to make an appointment and forgot to ask about when to take to the dentist.

For the mom's who waited until 2 or 3, may I ask why?

Took DD at 18 months because I was concerned about her front teeth from using a paci. Then I took her again at 2.5 for a cleaning and she just went a couple weeks ago for another cleaning. She's a little over 3 now.

DD is 4 and I haven;t taken her.
I feel like she won't sit for this, no way and it will be a waste.
I am sure she will live.
Maybe next year. I'm in no rush.
I didn't go that young and I survived.
IMO, it's a way to make money.
Flame away but I don't trust the intentions of most doctors...

2yrs because why earlier? She got her teeth at 1 so it seemed about time. Not again until she was 4 and everything was good then too.. then at 5 we had to take her for shark's teeth. Looks like we'll be going every year now.
