Does anyone have and idea of how much an experienced Dental Assistant gets paid now a days?

Very wide range....
I'm the president of the Long Island Dental Assistants Society and I know that DAs with very little experience are earning less than $10p/hour (which BTW is totally wrong on the dentists' part)
and the most experienced, licensed dental assistants earn up to $35 p/hour plus benefits

i was a dental asst for many years and i was paid $15 per hour

our office pays 18-20 dollars per hour for experienced assistants

I made $16.50 when i did Dental Assisting (right after graduation from DA school) and that was with going to school for it and being certified with my xray license, they have an Expanded Function Dental Assisting program, which i am signed up for Fall 11', which if you take it you can get a little more pay because you will have more abilities and function that you can do. I miss dental assisting.
