Deli Cheese?
I forget.... is cheese from the deli OK to eat (not heated up) or is it just cold cuts? I dont remember if the listeria breeds in the meat or the slicer...

Deli Cheese?
the FDA recommends that pregnant woman do not east unpasteurized cheeses(Brie, Feta). Deli cheeses are pasteurized (I believe).

If listeria is on the meat it would be on the slicer as well.

There are cheese slicers and separate meat slicers (I used to work in deli). this is the case in the one i use.

Deli Cheese?
They usually use different slicers for meat and cheese... I eat deli cheese all the time. My doctor just told me no deli meat.

Deli Cheese?
My dr said the same thing, if the deli is reputable you can have it. I didn't really eat deli meat too often to begin with so I just stayed away.
When at the deli counter, just check the packaging under the glass to see if its pasteurized, I'm sure those cheeses are.

Re: Deli Cheese?
I ate them both. I heated meats but didnt worry about the cheese too much. I always got it from the supermarket and I know they clean them regularly.
