I'm not sure about specifically returning appliances. If it's new though there should be a manufactures warranty on it. If your not getting anywhere with PC Richards then I'd go that route.

I still THINK that should be covered by the warranty.
We got a new fridge from PC Richards a little over a year ago and the fridge works, but it's freezing EVERYTHING in the drawers, even after we adjusted the settings a million times. My mom's been in touch with the manufacturer, not PC Richards.
Just a thought.
