I know it will be hard to do since you like your home a certain way... I'm pretty particular with how I want my home to be. The only thing worked for DH was to stop doing all the work and let him see how quickly the sh!t piles up. It will drive you crazy, it will, but it will make a point. DH was so accustomed to me doing the work while we were dating and engaged that when I had enough, he was SHOCKED to see what I really did.
Now, DH does most of the housework since I work FT, coach and have/had my own photo business along with having a 2yo DS.
If that doesn't work, then, and this may seem super childish, start doing something that really gets under his skin.
Plus, once the baby is here, you're not going to have the time or energy in the beginning to be doing all of the work, so even if you don't want to do what I'm suggesting, it'll most likely happen anyway.
