I'm not good at this stuff, so I need some help with decorations for the nursery. Our baby furniture will be medium wood (chestnut) and the walls will be a very light green. The only lamps I've found that I liked BOTH had white stands/bases. It would sit on top of the medium wood furniture. Would that look bad? One lamp I like the stand part is white shiny material that is probably plastic, the other says it's white poplar (I don't know what that is).
