Decorating little girls room help

I am re-decorating my girls room from a nursery to a big girls room. Its going to be princess themed room. Most of the accessories I have purchased have been pink both light and darker pink. Is it too much to do pink walls too? Would it look strange if I did purple walls with pink accents.

What about doing a pretty cream paint on the walls? That way, you can have pink accents via all of the accessories.

I love creams and pinks mixed together. You could always put up a chair rail and do two colors.

I'd still do pink walls but a very very very pale pink.

I did a princess themed room. Most of the items were a darker pink.

I did a light pink, and when we redid the ceiling and borders a fresh white it looked really nice.

I wish I had a picture.

It was a benjamin moore light pink.

I do have chair rail. Right now the bottom is a pale sage green and the top is a pale pink. I love cream too but DH is so against me doing cream. He think they will get it filthy and we will have to repaint every few months.

We are doing DD1's big girl room now - we did pink walls with white trim and cream carpet. If the furniture I ordered in January was in I would post a pic!

If you already have a chair rail then just do eggshell finish and look for one that you can use a magic eraser on. I wet the magic eraser and clean my light walls all of the time. No need to repaint.
