decorating help!
Hi!!
So we just moved into our new home, and I'm in the process of setting up our bedroom..this is what we have so far, but our bedding is now on (all white bedding)
We also just ordered this lamp for the corner between the dresser and the window
Here are my questions:
What kind of window coverings should i get?
Also, we were thinking of putting a large white mirror over the bed..thoughts?
I feel like I'm getting overwhelmed lol

Love the lamp! I'd do curtains for sure. That's a really cute room, and I think the curtains will complement it well.
I think the mirror would *look* nice, but I always worry about mirrors over the bed...especially a large one. What if it falls while you're sleeping? Whenever we stay at a hotel, or there's a mirror or pictures over the bed, I get so freaked out.
I realize that is extremely paranoid of me.

I feel the same way--you're not alone!!!!
To the OP, what floor is the BR on? If the 2nd floor I'd get some flowy, light colored sheers and pull them back with a decorative hook. It will keep the room bright and airy looking. If on the first floor I'd do the same, but maybe add some honeycomb blinds so they can be closed on bottom and open in top to let in light while maintaining privacy.

Re: decorating help!
You need some pops of color. Accent pillows or a colorful picture above the Bed. Or I would bring some color with the window treatments.
I am not a huge fan of Mirrors above the bed.
Coming along beautifully!

Re: decorating help!
Sheer window panels and woven blinds (JCP has a great selection), a jute or sisal area rug (PB C&B, Home Decorators), framed art or decorative wall art above the bed (Home Goods, Pier 1) and throw pillows. If you don't have a ceiling light I would get matching bedside lamps (glass or mercury).
As others mentioned I would also be nervous about a heavy mirror above the bed.

Re: decorating help!
Just want to say I feel like we all have the same color bedroom. May not be exact ones but all a blue grey.
It's just a great color

It's so funny, I was looking at my pinterest board for the bedroom stuff and I was already heading in that color direction lol.
If you have an option between homegoods, I went to the one in Merrick this weekend and they had a lot more then the one in RVC.
