Decisions...
So, we've decided to move onto IVF . We have to pay out of pocket, but my DH keeps saying that if this isn't what we work for, then why do we? Growing our family is #1 priority. I've been so depressed and overwhelmed, he told me to let him take the burden of deciding between gonal f and IUI and IVF from me. He's chosen IVF and I'm going to just move full speed ahead. Of course I need a consultation first and could not get one until May 18th. So, this cycle (waiting for AF now) we will try un-medicated and pray for a miracle.
Our history: 2007 got preg first try and m/c at 8.5 weeks.
2007 got preg 7 months after D&C with who was born May 2008.
2010 got preg after 4/5 months, m/c at 8.5 weeks.
2011 took 50mg Clomid, trigger shot and Estradiol supp for thin lining, BFN.
Took 100mg Clomid, trigger shot, Estradiol supp for thin lining, had progesterone of 23 8dpo and was convinced I was preggo. Found out Wed another BFN.
Not feeling any burden lifted or relief from deciding on IVF. Just sad that I'm not preggo after 15 months of trying.

Re: Decisions...
Just wondering, are IUIs covered for you or no?
I'm only asking because personally I would do an IUI with injectables cycle before moving onto IVF. The only reason I say that is because you can see how you respond to the injectable medications and it's kind of a nice "transition" between IUI and IVF, KWIM?
But if you have your heart set on IVF, you have to always remember that even though it feels like a "last resort" unfortunately, it doesn't always work and you have to keep that in mind. It's hard not to put all your eggs in the IVF basket, but you do have to remain realistic about it as well.
I have unexplained IF and was SURE SURE SURE that IVF would work for us, but it didn't. (We did later get pregnant from FET but now we are trying for #2).
My DH felt the same way about IVF and he was really very disappointed when it didn't work because it was so expensive (we paid OOP also).
If you're paying for the IUIs OOP also, then I completely understand wanting to jump to IVF because all of those IUIs add up and you feel like you should just give IVF a try because your chances of getting pregnant are much better.
For someone who has been pregnant before on their own and who doesn't have any major factors against them, I do think that IVF can work for you and I wish you the best of luck. You can always FM me if you want to talk or if you have any questions.
