Debt Spinoff Again...HELP:)
Do you talk to a financial planner to help get out of debt? Do they charge a lot?

I know the guy my brother and SIL met with offered a free consult for the first visit. Beyond that, I don't know what he charges.

I always think of a financial planner as one that gives advice about investments. But I could be wrong.
I think you are talking more about a debt coach or something like that.
Beware.. I bet alot of people that advertise what you are looking for are actually debt consolidator-type companies...

I think you are talking more about a debt coach or something like that.
Beware.. I bet alot of people that advertise what you are looking for are actually debt consolidator-type companies...
A financial advisor can offer advice on eliminating debt.

A financial advisor addresses all aspects of financial wellbeing - such as risk management, investment planning, estate planning, cash flow, retirement planning, etc. Debt can also be addressed as it is part of cash flow. I should know, I am one.
