Is it too much to ask that stations whose initials denote certain programming actually show said programming?
I COMPLETELY agree with you...from a music producer who misses the music though, NO ONE watches music videos. You program an hour of videos and you get a .1 in the ratings (say a hundred thousand people) you throw a repeat of Tequila and even though it has aired like 16 times, it gets a .6 or .7 (say 600,000+ people) to advertisers that is a whole lot of dough.

Couldnt' agree more. No need to change the titles being these are the top rated shows on those networks. This I know for a fact.
As for the lack of videos, Nielsen ratings have steadily been increasing on both networks mainly due to the program changes. Its all a business, and if these shows get the viewers, they are going to keep them the same.

I realize that now and have apologized profusely for inserting foot in mouth.
Though I hope everyone understands I never intended on directly insulting those who create the shows. I really meant it as a dig on the premise of the show in general. It was a stupid joke that came out of my mouth.

I agree w/ you Keri! since its a reality show, I instantly thought of the zany characters on these shows as the ones providing the"mindlessness" lol. and don't forget Frenchie on Rock of Love! one of my favorite freaks of the moment!

Hey Tara, I admit to watching these kinds of shows. I love watching how stupid people act, especially for TV.
I think we all like to see train wrecks!!!
I wasn't offended in the least about the "mindless" comment.
I personally didn't feel you were calling every who watches these shows (ETA)or the creators of these shows "mindless" .
I thought you were commenting on how "mindless" the premise of these shows are.
That was my interpretation of it and if you were calling the viewers and creators "mindless", you have the right to your opinion. Even if we don't like it.
That's what these forums are for!
I think it just got misconstrued somehow. This has happened to me a million times on here and LIW. I always end of up feeling bad and confused about how it snowballed into a huge thing in the first place (not that this was huge in anyway).
I made a comment once that my DH bought my engagement from Zales and what it mistake it was. Apparenlty, I offended all girls who have rings from Zales when all I was commenting on a bad experience I had with them.
I think it is really difficult to tell someone's tone or to find out more about their thoughts on chat forums.
We really do not get the chance to justify a response.
Plus, you never know how someone will interpret something read.

I swear they play videos 5% of the time and reruns of either their programing or ANTM the other 95%. Now, I can always watch a nice marathon of ANTM, but I miss the MTV I grew up on.
