Dear Driver on Bushwick Avenue this morning....
...near the exit of the JRP. We were at a basic standstill. Traffic going nowhere. I gently approached your lane, with room and a signal as any safe driver would. You just had to be obnoxious and not allow me into the lane. You just HAD to scoot ahead to prove how tough you were that you could get in front of me STILL getting nowhere fast.
I have to say I jumped a little bit as I saw you in my side view mirror so close that I thought I might get hurt. Your mirror hit mine. Im over it. Your mirror got damaged. Mine is fine.
Im gloating. You stink.

It was that friggin Thomas Chen trying to get to Raylle Lexus before his car broke down! Apparently he never got the notice that his service was due

I hate drivers like that!! When I commuted to school I used to have a sign printed on cardboard giving an obnoxious dirver the azzhole of the morning award. I would hold it up and wave it at people like that!!

Glad you are okay Leslie!
I can't stand people who drive like that.
My other peeve is when you are cruising at about 65 MPH with a nice car and a half length between you and the car in front of you - nobody behind you - and smart azz comes FLYING up on the right and instead of getting BEHIND you - he squeezes right in between you and the car ahead so that you are forced to brake in order to avoid smashing into him.
Of course.. I am a perfect driver.

If i didnt drive through and work in such a dangerous neighborhood, I would have been more inclined to stop, get out and look at the car. I pulled my mirror inward while i was stopped to see if it was ok and not scuffed up too badly and it was fine. But I learned that if it something I can deal with, I let it go. I work in the neighborhood where those two cops were shot this summer in Brooklyn. I only get out of my car when I get to work and if I need gas. Needless to say I hardly ever go to work with an empty tank.
Last year, I got pulled over by a cop for flipping the bird to someone who was actually trying to tell me not to do something so stupid in that neighborhood. People get shot here often - I read it in the papers and see it on the news all the time. I'd rather reduce my risk.
