DD hates to drink milk.....
I don't know what to do anymore... she will drink like 3-4 cups of water or watered down juice a day... but as soon as I put Milk in the cup, forget it... that same cup lasts all freaking day... I tried putting chocolate, but for some reason it makes her sick. I make sure she has cheese and yogurt and the ped said I don't need to force the milk on her, but I feel like she needs it. Any advice?

Nic, my niece is the same way.
Doc adv that they give her orange juice with Calcium.
Nothing you can do really...she dont like it...it happens.
Gianna LOVES milk...so I need to buy a cow soon

maybe try a milkshake but not put so much ice cream but add more milk in it?

Josh was sooooo against milk. It was water all day long...until ped recommended ovaltine.
I was a skeptic, I had mixed milk with BM, chocolate, strawberry, honey...nothing worked.
for some strange reason though, he LOVES Ovaltine!

Thomas doesn't like milk either. If he's in the mood, he'll drink a couple of ounces here and there, but hardly anything. When I first tried chocolate milk, he didn't like it. Now he does. That's how I get most of the milk he drinks in him. I use the powder with the added calcium and less sugar.
I want to try Ovaltine too.

Genevieve wouldnt drink milk unless it had chocolate in it. But I told her plain milk was ballerina milk and she needs to drink it whenever I give it to her to become a big strong ballerina.

DD doesn't drink milk either. Infact she will literally spit it out when I give it to her.
Just recently have I tried (again) Horizon chocolate milk. She will now drink that. I just stopped BFing and have been giving her that 1st thing in the morning as a subsitute and she seems to like it.
It's taken FOREVER though.
No worries if they don't drink it  I'm not concerned if my DD doesn't. She eats a lot of cheese and yogurt and other veggies that give her the same nutrients. And like Smiley said...I too give DD the OJ fortified with calcium and vitamin D

My son isnt big into milk either....it takes him an hour to an hour and a half to drink 8 oz. And thats only once a day. My ped said it was fine as well, because he is getting it from other places.
My son LOVES the stonyfield farm smoothies...he has 1 a day, and this makes me feel better!

My DD has never drank milk and she's 3 and healthy. I wouldn't stress about it. Just try to get the calcium in her in other ways.
