DD has sunburn on her face
We spent the day on Fire Island yesterday and I sunblocked her all day but her eyelids and under her eyes are all sunburn (she refused to wear a hat or sunglasses which would have helped). She is 16 months old. She isn't acting like it hurts but I feel terrible. I put aloe on it but was wondering if there's anything else that works well. I actually read that black tea works?

Re: DD has sunburn on her face
Try some ibuprofen for the pain as well. It helps because it's an anti inflamatory.

DD has sunburn on her face
my little 3 month old had red on her face- it must have reflected off the sand even though she was covered.
anyway i freaked and felt awful, took her to the ped. he said calamine lotion and also aquaphor. both worked great. i only used the calamine at night,in the am i smeared the aquaphor on her face

Re: DD has sunburn on her face
Thanks! Wow I always thought aquaphor was no good because it was petroleum based. Glad it worked for you! I'm hoping it looks better tomorrow after having the aloe on all day. If not I'll look into those ideas as well and maybe see what my ped thinks. Thanks!
