DD FINALLY started army crawling yesterday!!

So dd is 8.5 months and up untill yesterday wasn't crawling at all. I was having a little bit of "milestone anxiety" about it, but was making an effort not to get too wrapped up in it. For months (probably since she had been about 6.5 months) i had constantly "worked" on crawling with her, and I would get frustrated when nothing was happening. I knew I had to take a step back and calm down about it, so around 8 months I became very laid back about it. I didn't push tummy time or "work" on crawling anymore.. Wouldn't you know, she did it on her own when she was good and ready... The first thing she ever crawled to, A giant framed picture of herself that was leaning up against the wall (this girl LOVES looking at pictures of babies!)

Well really it was an army crawl, so I guess its not technically a crawl, but I'm still so excited about it!! I know others her age are doing real crawls, cruising, and walking but I am just so proud of her for doing it

I just wanted to give encouragement to any moms who may get frustrated that their DC isn't doing "something" when you may have thought they would have been already, try not to worry it WILL happen!

some kids don't crawl at all!! Don't worry, she's perfect
