DD eye is watery/teary...what could it be?

DD eye is watery/teary...what could it be?
I noticed that her right eye is very watery/teary today. She hasn't been crying and is not sick and doesn't even seem to notice. I'm wondering if maybe she got something in her eye? Could it be the start of an infection of some sort? Should I take her to the ped, or to an eye doctor?

It might be a start of an infection ,I would just try and keep it clean with a warm washclothe and keep an eye on it ( no pun intended  ) My kids have had it also ,if it gets gooey I would call the ped
