DC Christmas time
So we booked a mini trip to DC with another family the same age as our boys (6 and 4).
We have some ideas of what to do and visit. Anyone have any other recommendations? Definitely air and space museum.
Any good places to eat? Doesn't have to be just kid friendly since the kids are usually really good and we like to enjoy a good beer or some wine.
Thanks!

DC Christmas time
I have never been at Christmas time but we like the National Zoo and then just down Connecticut Ave (right outside the metro station) is a restaurant Hot N'Juicy Crawfish that is fun and delicious. Something different than the usual places.
We also like happy hour at McCormick & Schmicks (their regular menu is great too but can't beat the happy hour deals) which is near the White House/National Mall. There are also some good restaurants we like near dupont circle but I am blanking on names!

Check out www.gokidtrips.com. It's a family travel guide for the DC metro area. They also have a FB page- Kid Trips. HTH!

Re: DC Christmas time
The museums are great. I also really enjoyed the place where they print money (you need to book ahead of time). Our kids are restaurant kids too... But with 4 kids together, sometimes the energy is too much (we have a set of friends who we love, but cannot eat out with & another set that we go to top places with) We enjoyed everything from 4 star to potbelly sandwich shops!

Re: DC Christmas time
Thanks everyone for the great ideas!
This group of kids are real good. I think bc it's boys and girls so they play nicely together. I have the boys and my friend has the girls. They get along real well... of course with some exceptions when the younger ones are over tired. LOL!
Anyway, I remember some people recommending Gaylord hotel bc there's a lot there to do. We aren't staying there, but can we go visit and see the attractions? Any free or do we have to pay?
Thanks!
