dc baltimore area?
trying to find a nice hotel with good rest, good bar and indoor pool about 4.5 - 5 hrs from Nassau county. doesn't have to be in md or dc but thought that was a good driving distance. thought an aquarium and kids museum would be good to. any recommendations?

Re: dc baltimore area?
We stayed at the"
Comfort Suites Columbia 7146 Old Waterloo Rd. Elkridge, MD 21075
It's a very short drive to downtown Maryland. The hotel is off the highway but not too far but in a somewhat secluded area (we thought we were lost the first time we stayed there!). TOTALLY SAFE, plenty of parking. They have a nice indoor pool and a great hot breakfast in the morning. I don't think they have a bar. Not fancy but not a simple hotel either.
The Comfort Suites brand has a lot of deals if you register on their website for the "choice privileges" program. It's free to join and some hotels have a special rate if you are in this program. We earned a free gift card over the summer by joining and staying for 2 nights! It was great!

Re: dc baltimore area?
DH and I went to Inner Harbor Baltimore this summer and most of the hotels all seemed really nice!
We stayed at the REnaissance, and it was a great location. Right across the street from the harbor - there are a bunch of restaurants and shops. Walking distance to the aquarium, as well as a childrens museum as well.

We stayed at the Hotel Monoco in Baltimore and the Hotel Palomar in DC, both owned by Kipton. I actually like DC a thousand times more than Baltimore though-I was really uneasy in Baltimore at night
