Daycare recommendations? East Meadow area

Can anyone recommend any good daycares in the East meadow/Merrick/Bellmore area? I am due in May and a teacher so I have to go back to work in September . Trying to find a daycare that I can trust with my baby.

I'm in the process of doing the same for my son. I'm going to switch him to a daycare closer to the one he is at now. There is Big Chief, TLC, Firehouse, Little Dinosaurs and Precious Too. There is also Tutor Time in Levittown. I think there are others but I'm just going off the top of my head.

i use Sweet Tots in Bellmore and love them. DS has been there since he's 11 weeks and now hes 16 months.

Firehouse has been around for years. I went there . I believe that the parents have to particpate in it but I am not sure.

TLC in Merrick ( Merrick Ave)
Twin Oaks - expensive but good with transportation - 2yrs and up
East Meadow Jewish Centre
Big Chief

I use a private Day Care in their house FM me if you are interested. We LOVE HER !!!!!

I use Alphabetland in North Bellmore, through recommendations of friends that also used them. We just moved to N. Bellmore in the fall, and looked at a couple of places, but Alphabetland was more ideal for us, and ds. Thank god he looooves going! He actually leaves us when we drop him off and runs to the teachers, and they are so good to him, and he learns alot

My 2 and a half years and he has been going to Precious Kids 2 in Merrick for the last year. He loves it!! The staff is wonderful and my son is learning ALOT!

Firehouse is not a daycare...its a co op. There is also teacher's pet in Levittown and wantagh and in wantagh children's nest opened

When I searched on LIF for daycare near East Meadow, Firehouse was mentioned. What is the difference between a daycare and a co op like Firehouse?

Thanks for the other two daycare suggestions. I have to add them to my list.

When i was pregnant with dd i looked at many in the Bellmore/Merrick area. The two that i was most impressed with were precious kids and the children's nest (merrick ave. Between merrick rd. And sunrise). Precious kids has three locations, but the one that accomodates infants (north merrick) wasn't open at the time. I would look there for sure! I ended up with a sitter as opposed to daycare so i can only base my opinion on what i saw while "shopping around" and doing research. Please fm me if you have questions. I also looked at tlc, sweet tots, and rose garden. Good luck!

My son goes to daycare at the Children's Nest in Wantagh and I'm pretty happy so far.
