Is oatmeal an option? It would probably keep warm in a thermos. DS eats waffles/pancakes about once a week and he dips them in no sugar added apple sauce instead of syrup so that could work too.

DS loves the whole wheat Thomas mini bagels. (They do not contain high fructose corn syrup). Add a little jelly (we use Welch's Natural) and soy butter if your daycare is peanut free.

Fruit

Oatmeal (DS still enjoys the Earth's Best baby oatmeal mixed with fruit. Quaker instant is a lot of sugar).

Homemade muffins (banana, blueberry)

Pancakes, waffles, French toast

Cereal bars (since the Earth's Best ones are so small I pair it with fruit). Or the full size ones if you read the labels some aren't that bad. Trader Joe's ones are yummy.

A whole grain waffle is fine--probably the same nutrient-wise as toast. Like pp said. Serve with applesauce for dipping.
Other ideas:
Breakfast quesadilla
Homemade muffins
Pumpkin/banana pancakes
Oatmeal in crockpot

I sometimes give her breakfast on the run (they feed her at school, but during the school year, she gets there so early, I feed her before they do)...we do a grammy sammy or a kids granola bar (by clif) or sometimes she wants dry cereal or as a treat, mini muffins..anything that will fit in the little cup...I sometimes mix the above with crunchy freeze dried fruit or puffs, etc.

DD is a carb junkie like her momma. So she rotates between french toast sticks, blueberry waffles, and mini pancakes. She gets fruit with it as well. Kid refuses to eat hard boiled eggs. Sometimes she'll do a cereal bar, like the Nutrigrain ones.

DS doesn't like eggs so we unfortunately don't have many options that are quick and easy. He gets English muffin with either butter or peanut butter, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes (the latter 2 are the frozen variety) and sometimes Cheerios.

mine always has a frozen waffle or pancake and strawberries/blueberries. Occasionally he'll also have a yogurt or baby bell cheese.
He used to eat hard boiled eggs but now refuses them. what's wrong with dry cereal and a fruit?
