Daycare moms - OCFS Question
Does the OCFS have any right to enforce a violation to be corrected? If a daycare has pending uncorrected violations, which don't seem to be getting addressed, do they just stay there?

Re: Daycare moms - OCFS Question
I was a licensed daycare owner for 10+ years. Ofcs will force you to fix all violations but it depends on the violation on how much time you will have. For example you can receive a violation if a child's paper work is not filled out correctly. If the parent does not return forms they violation will stay. If it's a violation like playground equipment failed inspection it may take time for a replacement to arrive. Those type of things not harming any children and The violation will stay until it's fixed. Serious and safety violations can risk the license being revoked if not corrected in the allotted time. Also the description of the violation you see on the website is not always exactly what happened or what was wrong with the daycare. They cannot put specific violations down so they choose from a broad subtopic. You can always call ofcs for an explanation.
