Daycare discipline question
We're fairly new to daycare so we really don't know what is normal. DH does the pick ups and drop offs, so I unfortunately don't get to see what goes on. Today DH said he was a bit taken aback when he heard one of the teachers raise her voice and reprimand a child. He said he was caught off guard and doesn't remember what was said and couldn't tell what she was disciplining the child about.
While we have no real daycare experience, DH said he was a bit surprised about what happened and is wondering if it's "normal"? The teacher did it right in front of him so that makes me wonder if it's nothing to be concerned about.
What would you think of this? Do you think it's worth mentioning to the director or is it normal for the teachers to raise their voice at times? This is a 18-24mo room, if that makes any difference.

Daycare discipline question
Yes. They have to discipline otherwise a classroom at that age is crazy. My daycare asks what type of discipline we use at home to try and continue that at school.

Daycare discipline question
hrmm... raising the voice is a bit much especially at that age group. JMHO. For AJ's room at that point they just spoke to her calmly and quietly and put her in 'quiet time'. or if it was too much she was taken to the director to sit with her instead of disrupting the class
