Day wedding attire
Do you not get as dressy for a wedding that is during the day? I usually wear a nice evening dress to weddings, but wondering if I should dress a bit more different for the day. Wedding starts at noon.

I definitely get less dressed for a day wedding -still dressy, but I would feel silly wearing say a black cocktail dress at noon.

Is the reception on site immediately after?
I feel like you can get away with wearing something less dressy that way, and then just change into something more formal.
But personally, this being Long Island and all, I would still wear what I was going to wear to an evening, weekend event.
It's a fun excuse to get dressed up.

Personally, I think it's completely appropriate to not be AS dresed up for a morning/afternoon affair. I feel ridiculous dressed like that in the middle of the morning/afternoon -
