Day “trips”
DH and I have been trying to make a point of “exploring” different things on LI with DD. So far we’ve been to Port Jeff, Bayville, Long Beach and Northport (which was our favorite).
Are there any other interesting places/parks/attractions we can check out? Museums (other than LICM) that would be appropriate for a 2.5 year old (she has a decent attention span)?

Day “trips”
Huntington is a nice day trip. You can go to the Heckscher museum, which is small, so a kid won't get bored, and there is a park and playground right by the museum. Then the town is great to walk around and there are lot of restaurants, ice cream shops, and small shops.

Day “trips”
Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) is very nice. Oyster Bay is nice too. There is a great park right by the water and there's a little LIRR museum where the kids can walk on train cars.
