Day trip with Dad...why does this send me into a panic?
Leo is really trying, he works all the time and really wants Josh to be his best friend.
Its clear as crystal that Josh prefers me. Lately, Leo feels left out.
So, his brother is doing military training in Columbia, SC.
Leo is going to be taking Josh down there, going to the zoo, and at 6 that night when his brother is done for the day, meet up with him to go out to dinner.
Leo suggested it(I babysit on the day they are going)...I said yes, but its going to be the longest day of my life.
From his driving, the way I don't think the seat belt is tight enough, not applying sunscreen...forgeting to change and feed him...last zoo visit, the zoo keepers had to repeatedly tell him not to sit Josh on the fence
Then, this military base with guns and things like that.
He is the kid's father for goodness sakes! I will have a few hours to myself! Is it normal to feel this way?
tia!

totally normal. They will never do it as good as we will but in all seriousness they will never do it the same as we do. I would talk to him about the carseat (this is one we still bicker over) and try not to sweat the small stuff. Yes, it will be a long day

I agree, totally normal. Even when DH watches DS while I am showering, cleaning, whatnot, DH does things different.
Oh, we bicker about the car seat too!

Have faith, he loves your DS as much as you do, I promise, and wants him to be safge. You can help things though by putting the fear of God into him before he leaves though, LOLOL (I kid I kid, well maybe a little) ....

Re: Day trip with Dad...why does this send me into a panic?
thanks!
I feel horrible, he's just trying to be an active dad.
I will bother about the carseat...and how I don't want Josh out of the carseat until stroller is ready for him(none of that Josh in a parking lot running around while he gets the stroller out).
He says he will be careful, that he never wants anything to happen to Josh, and he never wants to face me if something goes wrong.
